What should a gas engineer's website have?
Your Gas Safe registration number, shown clearly, plus a page for each main job (boiler repairs, servicing, new boilers, landlord gas safety certificates), the areas you cover, your reviews and a big call button. If you list gas leaks, the page should tell people to ring the National Gas Emergency number first.
Example: Apex Gas Services, Crewe
Dean's site has a page for each of his jobs: boiler repairs, boiler servicing, new boilers, gas safety certificates, gas leaks and cooker installation. His Gas Safe number is at the top of every page.
“I can't fault Charlie for his work ethic and talent for producing quality work. If your looking for a web designer then he's your man, thank you for your hard work”
Dean R., Apex Gas Services, Crewe, in his Google review. See the full project
What I put on a gas engineer's site
- Your Gas Safe number, so customers can check you on the Gas Safe Register
- A page for each job, written the way customers search for it
- A page for landlords about gas safety certificates
- Any manufacturer accreditations you hold, like Worcester Bosch, Vaillant or Baxi
- Clear emergency information, pointing people to the National Gas Emergency number (0800 111 999) if they smell gas
- Tap-to-call and WhatsApp on every screen, and your Google reviews

Questions
How much does a website for a gas engineer cost?
With me it's £350 to build, then £25 a month for hosting and changes. My first three customers get the build for £250. You see a free demo before you pay anything.
Can you build me a site like Apex Gas?
Yes. Your site will be built around your own business, jobs and areas, with the same approach: a page for each job and your Gas Safe number on every page.
Should I show my Gas Safe number?
Yes. Customers can check it on the Gas Safe Register, and seeing it straight away tells them you're qualified to work on gas.
I'm flat out. Do I have to write it all myself?
No. Send me your services, Gas Safe details and the areas you cover. I'll put the wording together and ask you to check the technical details before it goes live.
Will it help me show up on Google?
I'll give your boiler and heating services clear pages and explain where you work. That helps search engines understand the site, but it doesn't guarantee rankings or enquiries.
